I went to Chachapoyas thinking in visiting Kuelap and Karajia my home base was Chachapoyas. My sister made the reservation. The installation was superb. The best for your dollar. Clean and well furnished rooms. Good bathrooms. The lobby as well as the restaurant were cozy and furnished with excellent taste. Breakfast was superb with hot dishes from the locality, fresh fruit juices, pineapple and papaya. Excellent coffee and infusions. In summary I will recommend this hotel without a doubt. Thank you to the courteous staff.

I travel frequently to Chachapoyas. This time we were driving and I needed a hotel with parking. La Xalca was a very good choice. Large and great room. Good breakfast. Wonderful staff. Reasonable prices. It is a bit off the center of the city. This can be advantageous at night as it is also not a noisy area.

We stayed here for four days during our trip to Chachapoyas. I would recommend this hotel. We found the accommodations to be clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and most accomodating to our needs. The breakfast each morning was nicely presented with a good variety of items to choose from. This is Spanish colonial style with the central patio tastefully decorated and furnished.
